My Story

My name is Corin Wiggins and I am a trailblazer in amplifying the voices of people of color in rowing. As someone didn't fit the stereotype of a competitive athlete in this sport, I made it my mission to create a safe place for people of color to share their experiences, advice, and encouragement with one another. Every person in the sport has their own unique story to tell. Together, we can make sure our talent doesn't go unnoticed. More importantly, we will let our voices be heard.

Though the task may be strenuous, I intend to follow through by reaching out to athletes of color at regattas and events. I also utilize social media and other various networks in order to make our mission more widely known and accessible. My main goal through all of this is to incite a necessary change in the rowing community, spreading acceptance and visibility to those who need it the most.
